Clubbing in Derby

Derby is a small city but has always had a good nightlife, although the casino was, for many years, the most celebrated nightime activity. Then in 1979, The Blue Note opened and immediately became the venue to be seen at! Through the eighties, many big names were bookes, including UB40 and the Thompson Twins and and I saw Soft Cell and the Human League there. The Blue Note survived where many of the other clubs didn’t, but since the arrival of the University, mor clubs have opened and clubbing in Derby is alive and well!
